As our community continues to grow, we are seeking a Housekeeper to join our dedicated Hospitality Team. This is a full-time permanent position working on a four days on, two days off roster.
At Te Awa, our philosophy is simple – put the resident first. Every member of our team plays an important role in creating a warm, safe and welcoming home for our residents, and our Housekeeping team is no exception.
About the Role
Working throughout our Care Centre and village facilities, you'll help ensure our residents enjoy clean, comfortable and well-presented surroundings every day.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning resident rooms, communal areas and facilities to a high standard.
Maintaining infection prevention and hygiene standards.
Ensuring cleaning equipment and supplies are used safely and efficiently.
Respecting residents' privacy, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
Working closely with the wider care and hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience.
Creating a warm, friendly environment through positive interactions with residents and their families.
What we're looking for
You don't necessarily need previous aged care experience—we're looking for people with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Ideally you will have:
A positive, caring and reliable nature.
Pride in your work and excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
A commitment to providing outstanding service to our residents.
Previous commercial or healthcare cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).

We have a new Care Wing opening and require full time permanent Healthcare Assistants to cover Monday to Sunday shifts on a four on; two off roster. Also split shift rosters available.
Essential Skills we are looking for –
Ensure all residents are able to have their daily activities of life met.
Provide emotional and spiritual support as required.
Maintain the dignity and privacy of the residents, including adhering to confidential policies.
Adhere to health professional’s requirements in terms of specified care for individual residents
